Wave Break – Out Of Breath (2020)
Wave Break is a New Jersey punk-rock band formed in 2017. The band is made up of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kelly Barber and bassist Ken Knight. Their punk-rock sounds and very much feels like the early 2000s new wave of alternative bands mixed in with a little The Cranberries.
‘Out Of Breath’ captures the emotion of the lyrics as well as portraying experiences that most of us have gone through. It balances and complements the rhythm with lyrics to create a fantastic song. The rhythm is great and in theme with their previous music. The lyrics are brilliant.
Listening to Wave Break has been a fantastic experience. It has been one of the rare times when I have listened to a track and been led down the rabbit hole that is a band’s previous music. I have yet to find a track I have not liked. A definite must listen to if you are a fan of alternative punk-rock music.
