Wartoad – Move It (2018)

The British American punk band, Wartoad, entered the music scene in 2017, and has definitely made a splash.  The rendition of Sir Cliff’s ‘Move It’ release date happily coincides with the 60th anniversary of the original song’s release.  It not only gives a salute to the well-known British rock ‘n’ roll/ pop star, but also gives the song a new life.

I love the punk rock beat, and it definitely brings the 50s/60s original into the new age of alternative music.  I love the punk blues element to the rhythm; it’s a song that I do not tire of, even after listening to it on repeat!  The band has a great sound, and this definitely has a ‘get up on your feet and dance’ vibe.

In my opinion, Wartoad is brilliant.  They hold to some of the old punk styles, but also keep to the current punk rock scene.  If they are ever in the UK area, I would love to see them and experience the group live.  Wartoad can be accessed via their Twitter, Facebook and official website.  I heartily recommend you take time and have a listen!
