Umberto Bravo – Sacred Sinner (2023)

While singer-songwriter Umberto Bravo has only two singles streaming online (at least, according to Spotify), he has a background many would pay for and is reaching audiences far beyond his Italian borders. Based in Rome and Naples, Umberto Bravo has been travelling across the globe since the start of his career as a musician. He has performed at notable festivals like the Maggio dei Monumenti event in Naples; as well as singing alongside the choir of the Teatro di San Carlo. With a love for old-school rock music, Umberto is the frontman of the progressive rock group The Prog-Ram Band and has composed music for the award-winning short film Heart Therapy.

Described as “emotive and passionate…” (Sinusoidal Music), “pulling purity out of salaciousness…” (AnR Factory), and able to “…abduct our senses and provoke an extremely enthusiastic relationship with verses…” (Music For All), Umberto Bravo is turning heads on an international scale. In an interview with Siloud, Umberto shared that he tries to put “the most original sound possible at the service of my songs. I like mixing sounds, especially non-conventional ones…after all, the sound of an artist is what should make him recognisable from another” – and this is just what he does with the new track ‘Sacred Sinner’.

Following his debut single ‘Real’ (released in 2021), Umberto Bravo opens 2023 with his sophomore song ‘Sacred Sinner’. Marking the artist’s return to the music scene, Umberto blends elements of commercial and synth-pop in ‘Sacred Sinner’. Finding a balance between old-school synth-pop of the 70s/80s and modern-day electropop, Umberto Bravo is both fresh and familiar. You feel comfortable with the charming, identifiable tones; however, an eclecticism exists knocking you off-kilter in the soothing ambience.

In addition to the single, Umberto Bravo released an official music video for ‘Sacred Sinner’. You can view the video below or via his YouTube channel.
