Tsunamiz – Party Anthem (2023)

The brainchild of musician Bruno Sobral, Tsunamiz brings a genre-defying sound to the masses. Sonically energising and infectious, his music traipses between rock, electronic and pop creating something unique and entirely Tsunamiz. Since his debut album Evil Live in 2015 to the most recent single, the Portugal-based artist has received acclaim from curators and critics alike. Garnering a loyal following internationally, Tsunamiz has been featured in notable publications like Mesmerized, Sinusoidal Music, Music For All, IGGY Magazine, RGM, Pop Hits and many more. The latest addition to his discography is the single ‘Party Anthem’.

Adopting a true DIY approach to music production, Tsunamiz has recorded and released independent albums almost every year since 2015’s Evil Live. Taken from his upcoming album, Kultur Is Dead (set for release in September 2023), ‘Party Anthem’ is a magnetic song filled with layers of psychedelia in an avant-garde sonic package. Bold beats contribute a strong EDM flavour to ‘Party Anthem’; however, showcasing his diversity, Tsunamiz incorporates strong tinges of rock with dynamic drums and a powerful guitar riff in the middle.

Unafraid to delve into the grittier areas of life, Tsunamiz often touches on cultural, personal and social references in his intriguing lyricism – these include alienation, the human condition and bullying. In ‘Party Anthem’, he explores the realm of personal freedom, empowerment and defiance.

“This song is a hybrid between Nirvana, Gorillaz and Sleaford Mods. As for the lyrics, it’s about personal freedom and an ode to psychedelia.” – Tsunamiz on ‘Party Anthem’
