TruckerBomb – Irregardlessly (2020)

TruckerBomb is introducing themselves to the world at large with honest lyrics and a splash of sarcasm in ‘Irregardlessly’. Bringing rock and country sensibilities together, they effortlessly blend them for an enjoyable listening experience. The guitar-driven rock sound is entwined with some clever country hooks to get you addicted to the band’s fresh sound.

This blended sound is the brain-child of Troy Richardson (vocals, bass, acoustic guitar). He is joined in this endeavour by Michael Berthold (guitar) and Dave Rodway (drums) with Mike ‘Slo-Mo’ Brenner (lap steel) and Fernando Perdomo (B3 organ) recording additional tracks. Bringing the sarcasm and humour of their music to the Americana-style storytelling Richardson has honed over the years, they infuse their blended sound into your veins.

‘Irregardlessly’ hits you with some country tones from the first moment, but there is an awesome thread of rock woven in. The guitar lines through the single continue the country vibe while soaring with a rock style. The beats have a great pace that drives you into a more rock state of mind. The interplay between these two styles is perfect and gets you a little addicted to the band’s sound. There is just something so infectious about the melody that you can’t really get enough of as it flows through your chest.

The country vibes are enhanced by Richardson’s vocals. His voice has a rough twang to it that growls its way through the lyrics. His performance is as addictive as the melody and makes you want to sing along. When the guitar riffs flow through and his vocals ride the melody, you feel the need to crank up the volume and just get down to the music.

TruckerBomb will get you hooked to their addictive melding of rock and country with the irrepressible ‘Irregardlessly’. The melody combines rock stylings with country guitar lines for an infectious soundscape. Richardson’s vocals add a country twang as he gets you rocking to the vocals.
