Transverse – Sunset Glow (2025)

Inspired by life in both its grit and glory, singer-songwriter, composer and producer Transverse entwines insightful, honest stories with a unique brand of pop music. The brainchild of musician Kade Andrew Sanders, Transverse is eager to resonate with audiences on an emotional, intimate level. In an interview he shared, “Life is a roller coaster of emotions, and that’s what my music is about… Music is a way to escape from the world for a moment and go into your world. I want people to allow it to, and use my music in order to do so.” The latest addition to his discography is the single, ‘Sunset Glow’.

Self-composed, recorded, penned, and produced, Transverse’s melodies are a true labour of love as he throws himself into each song – ‘Sunset Glow’ is no different. Following the well-received singles ‘Homesick’ and ‘Being Here’, ‘Sunset Glow’ is a swirl of bold beats, silky synths, and a heart-warming keyboard floating through the track. Interestingly, while soothing and smooth in a tender rush of sound, I find slight urgency twinkling in the vibrant tune. Not urgency in a chaotic flush of music; no, it’s a raw vulnerability showing itself within the song’s delicate harmony.

Binding the melody with indie-pop vocals, Transverse slices contemporary pop with an edgy roughness. No, not roughness per se, more an obscure jilt of heavier, harder, rock-inspired sounds. It appears to lighten the tune, but also adds more texture and weight to ‘Sunset Glow’.

Transverse shared in that interview we mentioned above that he wants audiences to “choose your feeling, choose your song… if you want to feel like you’re on top of the world, then I will use specific sounds, rhythms, and melodies to help you feel like you’re on top of the world.” – ‘Sunset Glow’ is that feeling. A raw encapsulation of soul-stirring emotion, its calm flow with kaleidoscopic vibrancy has you bursting with joy as each chord strums a new, optimistic emotion. Well, that’s my take at least and perhaps you’ll feel different. All I know is I am eager to hear more from Transverse.
