Track of the Day: The Super Late Night – If Not Now, Then When?
Hailing from Manchester, England, we have The Super Late Night. A one-man project performing and producing all his work, this artist blends powerful guitar riffs with synth sounds and honest indie vocals. Formed in 2020, The Super Late Night is the newbie on the scene, but that does not mean he is completely clueless. Recently he released his debut single ‘Honey’ (along with an official video) with very positive feedback – in fact, he gained over 30,000 Spotify streams and it is only rising. ‘Honey’ showcases his impressive vocal abilities while maintaining an emo-pop vibe.
The latest release from The Super Late Night is ‘If Not Now, Then When?’ – a combination of heartfelt vocals and indie-pop backings. In true Mancunian style, the track shows some similarity to the iconic Manchester band Oasis; however, there are some leanings toward York’s The Seahorses. According to an interview in Aah Magazine, TSLH has always seen his music as a place where he can be “deeply and unashamedly personal”. The tenderness and emotion in this sophomore track only demonstrate the powerful personal attachment between an artist and his music.
