Track of the Day: Kwun – Supernatural

From Daily Music Roll to A&R Factory, Music News and Earmilk, singer-songwriter Kwun has been turning heads across the globe – and this is just his debut release! Hailing from the UK, Kwun is at the “cutting edge of a movement of conscious artists leading the way into a new paradigm…” With the aim of connecting with audiences, Kwun’s music is led by the core of human essence and being comfortable with others and yourself. Come with us as we delve into Kwun’s first single ‘Supernatural’.

Along with being his debut track, ‘Supernatural’ is the first single off Kwun’s upcoming album Ancient Ageless & True. Recorded in collaboration with Mark Prentice (Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Cash), Sam Wheat (Amy Winehouse and Pharrell Williams) and Tony Cousins (George Michael and Adele), ‘Supernatural’ adopts a smooth, soothing and intriguing sound. Interestingly enough, while there is a melodic combination of guitars, drums, strings and piano, a simplistic vibe exists in the kaleidoscopic soundscape. Perhaps it is the rich and full-bodied vocals that bring both a hazy warmth and intense intimacy to the song.

With the tenderness of Paul Simon and John Lennon, ‘Supernatural’ has a blunt tenderness in the heart-breaking melody. Kwun shares that ‘Supernatural’ “is a track with conscious lyrics jam-packed with pearls of wisdom. My hope for this song is to provoke thought in the listener to question and look deeper into the commonly held beliefs, as well as to become the greatest version of themselves.”

Sincere, sentimental and sophisticated, but with a sprinkling of youthful innocence in the lyricism, Kwun sends your soul soaring with his debut track ‘Supernatural’.
