Track of the Day: Joe Oliver – Why
At only 16 years old, Wiltshire-based Joe Oliver is attempting to break into the pop music industry. With only two singles to his name – ‘Why’ and ‘Masquerade’ – Oliver is slowly building an interesting portfolio. Inspired by the creative melody and lyricism of Rex Orange County, Jeremy Zucker, Lauv and Tommy Emmanuel, Oliver arranges catchy pieces with significant themes.

‘Why’ is Oliver’s second track, released in March 2020. It combines delicate guitars and Oliver’s heartwarming vocals. Unlike many commercial pop ballads, this indie-pop track is encouraging, refreshing and rather addictive.
