Track of the Day: Jesse Grossi – Bad Girl

Hailing from the shores of California, Jesse Grossi is a multi-instrumentalist and solo artist bringing some chill vibes to the 21st century. The reggae-rock artist, who is also the frontman for Gringo Pistolero, may only be releasing material now but he already has a reputation on the LA scene. Performing at iconic venues like Whiskey A Go Go and The Rainbow Room, he is known for engaging and energetic shows. Add a few television spots and music festivals in South America, and you have a guy with some seriously cool experience. The latest addition to his repertoire is the soulful reggae tune ‘Bad Girl’.

Combining the chill of Bob Marley with the reggae-rock style of Sublime, Grossi brings us the third single off his upcoming album Tales of a Tragic Journey – set for release in October 2020. Written about his dream girl, whom he says he could never have, ‘Bad Girl’ is nostalgic, amusing, heartwarming and mildly addictive.

“I just enjoyed making the song from the frustrating to the pleasant times! ‘Bad Girl’ is about my unachievable dream girl who, unfortunately, I will never get because I talk too much.” – Jesse Grossi on ‘Bad Girl’
