Track of the Day: Andrea – I Know
Born at the turning of the new century, Andrea has grown up amidst modern music, such Lady Gaga and Florence & The Machine; however, she grew up listening to gospel, soul and jazz – all which influence her work. Born in Macedonia, Andrea is a bit of a unique find as not many artists find success outside of the former Yugoslavia. Making a wave with her music, it’s predicted that this songstress will find much success on an international scale.
Born to a law profession father and a physician mother, Andrea was expected to follow a “respectable” career. Yet, she fell in love with music supported by her grandfather. Unfortunately, her grandfather died and, having lost her friend and mentor, she experienced mental health problems in her teenage years. It was in music that she found comfort and, after meeting composer/producer Aleskander Masevski, began honing her natural talent. Andrea released her debut single ‘I Know’ in October 2020.
‘I Know’ is an electropop sensation with dynamic instrumentation and rich vocals. Reminiscent of Florence & The Machine with greater influences from R&B, Andrea displays soulful tones with the confidence and sophistication of a much older artist.
