Track of the Day: 1500 Pieces – Maybe

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, 1500 Pieces is an alt-rock trio with style, sophistication and serious sex appeal. Heavily influenced by The 1975 and Arctic Monkeys, Gordon Vaughn (vocals, keys and songwriter), Zan Patterson (guitars) and Andre Robinson (bass) are the new emo with a hint of 80s synth-pop. Previously performing with Warner Brothers-signed Cool For August, Vaughn had a mound of experience to offer. Originally from Los Angeles but now calling Atlanta home, Vaughn formed 1500 Pieces with Patterson and Robinson (who started playing bass after seeing Patterson’s skill with a guitar).

‘Maybe’ is one of their first singles and still a banger several months later. Reminiscent of Bowie, ‘Maybe’ is an original track over a steady beat but oozing sultry emotion. Vaughn’s throaty vocals blend well with the instrumentation without distracting from the melody. It’s one to be on repeat and I think 1500 Pieces just found a new fan!

‘Maybe’ is also available on our May 2020 Spotify Playlist!
