The Vivians – Kick Start Your Brain (2020)
In 2010, The Vivians played their final show together at Camden’s Koko. They were opening for the punk legends New York Dolls, but drawing the curtain on their three-and-a-half-year journey. To mark the 10th anniversary of their final show, the band has made two previously unreleased tracks available.
The tracks ‘Kick Start Your Brain’ and ‘Drawn to Distraction’ bookend the years between 2006 and 2010. They have been digitally remastered and are accompanied by new lyric videos. While fans still miss the band, ‘Kick Start Your Brain’ is a great track to keep you company.
‘Kick Start Your Brain’ opens with strong guitar and drums to build excitement. When the vocals come in the song gets into full flow and makes you want to move. The track is upbeat and the melodies stick with you long after the song has ended.
