The Covasettes – Top Drawer (2018)

The Covasettes are an indie-rock band based in Manchester, UK.   They are Chris Buxton (vocals), Matt Hewlett (guitar), Jamie McIntyre (bass guitar), and Matt Buckley (drums).  After releasing their debut single, ‘This Feeling’, in September last year, and another single earlier this year called ‘Wondering Why’; they decided to continue releasing music with a new single in June.  Here is our review of their latest track, ‘Top Drawer’.

The track starts with a catchy guitar riff, and you can tell it is a love song.  They sing about how the person makes them feel good, loved, and how the person always makes them smile.  The lyrics are catchy and sound like they’re very heartfelt.  It’s a very feel-good song that will cheer you up, with a perfect bass line and drum beats.  It sounds like the ideal song to enjoy while kicking back in the garden during summer.

Overall, I think that ‘Top Drawer’ is an excellent song.  You can find ‘Top Drawer’ on Amazon and iTunes.  The band also has an official video for the track available on YouTube.
