Forging ahead as one-woman wonder, singer-songwriter TaniA Kyllikki tackles the music industry with astounding enthusiasm. The younger sister of Alicia Keys, Kyllikki’s ‘I Struck Gold With You’ blends soulful RnB with hints of pop woven through the piano-driven tune. Drawing you into a sonic whirlwind, her piano wraps about you with enchanting sound; however, while there is a simplistic element to the track its individuality is kaleidoscopic. A rollercoaster ride you move from the scary peaks to rushing lows with breath-taking elegance. One aspect I find extremely interesting is how a harmonic union of contemporary RnB springs forth in Kyllikki’s vocals while the use of strings alongside the piano brings a classical edge.
