Stone Arch Rivals – The One You’ll Want Tomorrow (2025)

Bridging the creative community from both sides of the Mississippi river, Stone Arch Rivals is a kaleidoscopic collaboration of musicians entwining diverse cultures, styles, experiences and inspiration. Formed in 2018 with music veterans Claire (vocals), Morgan (lead guitar), David (guitar), Jenna (bass) and Chris (drums), Stone Arch Rivals could be considered a super-group of musical minds set to enchant the masses. We’re about to dive headfirst into their single, ‘The One You’ll Want Tomorrow’; join us, won’t you?

Following the live version of ‘I Believe In You’, Stone Arch Rivals step into 2025 with the debut studio-recorded single, ‘The One You’ll Want Tomorrow’. Immediately, I was dragged back to the 1970s with a kaleidoscopic blend of soul and rock wriggling in my ear ready to twirl me about in a dizzying haze of sound. Heavy drums build in the background, while a dynamic guitar meets a bold bass with shimmering flair. For me, this hard-hitting melody is already an intriguing arrangement; however, the intricate interplay of Tommy Barbarella’s keys and Ivan Jackson’s horn section seems to up the ante for a full-bodied flourish of soul.

Produced by Ryan Smith and Kris Johnson, the melody itself is incredible with a rush of music flying past your ears; however, and this is my opinion, Claire’s rich vocals makes ‘The One You’ll Want Tomorrow’ a perfect end to a rather long week. Confident, empowering, and all-round fun, ‘The One You’ll Want Tomorrow’ is an infectious blast of groovy vibes, but a profound message lingers in the bright tune. Claire explains:

“This song is like a note to my younger self. It’s about realising that the best things in life are worth waiting for – whether it’s love, success, or finding your voice. And if you can dance while you wait? Even better.”

For a treat, keep your eye out for Stone Arch Rivals’ upcoming music video for ‘The One You’ll Want Tomorrow’. It’s scheduled to premiere on the 8th of April, and you can check it out – and I highly recommend you do – on the band’s YouTube channel.
