Second Adam & The New Creations – Kiss The Son (2022)
The brainchild of singer-songwriter Abram Germano, Second Adam & The New Creations is a solo project glorifying the power of God through heavier rock melodies. Already having featured on The Other Side Reviews (read our review of ‘Let Sinners Fly’), Second Adam & The New Creations turned our heads with its unique, eclectic sound; however, we are not the only ones whose senses are ensnared. Featured in Rock Era Magazine, Edgar Allan Poets, Sinusoidal Music, Roadie Music, and even an interview with Dave Hawkins on The Antidote, this US-based musician is building a following far beyond his US borders. The latest addition to his discography is the single ‘Kiss The Son’.
Following his track ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’, Second Adam & The New Creations adopts a harder and heavier tone in ‘Kiss The Son’. As with previous material, there is a hard rock element in the single’s melody; however, ‘Kiss The Son’ appears to take a metal meets rock quality in its arrangement. Interestingly enough, while there is a brutal grittiness in the tune, a delicate sensitivity seems to be interwoven into the sonic tapestry like a shining thread in a darker, gloomier soundscape.
The third track from his upcoming album Pilgrim’s Progress, ‘Kiss The Son’ is a glimmer of hope in a desperate, forgotten place. Abram Germano explains that his hope for his music is to create songs that “…God’s people enjoy and that is a source of light in dark places…” Personally, I think he has knocked the nail on the head with ‘Kiss The Son’ proving that, as Dave Hawkins notes, Christian music does not suck!
