Sarah O’Moore – Silence (2025)
The silence has definitely been broken by Berlin-based Irish singer-songwriter Sarah O’Moore. Having not heard much from O’Moore in a while and in past experience this is an artist who never serves the same thing up twice. With her new single ‘Silence’ this has continued, showcasing her knack as an ever evolving artist with many strings to her bow.
Taking a plunge in a more drum and bass world was not something I was expecting when I got word of the new single, but the way in which O’Moore has kept her signature vocal whilst bringing something totally new to her sound by collaborating with such a great artist as BeatKilla, is a testament to her creative talent.
BeatKilla’s track is euphoric in its beat, treading the line between ferocity and tranquillity perfectly, whilst giving the perfect backdrop for O’Moore’s well-crafted lyrics, which explore the interesting subject of self-doubt and the search for inner peace. You can tell this is a very personal track for Sarah O’Moore from the lyrics alone, but this sentiment is backed up further by her when discussing the track. She explains, “This track is about the internal struggle we all face, those moments of doubt and searching for something beyond ourselves”.
I think and hope that this collaboration with BeatKilla will not only showcase another side of O’Moore’s art but will draw more fans to her work that wouldn’t normally have stumbled upon this fantastic singer. Having followed her work for a while now, I’m confident in saying she is going from strength to strength, constantly innovating and showing everything you’d expect from a future star on the rise. All I can say is I’m looking forward to what comes next, until then I’m going to enjoy ‘Silence’.
