Sano Hill – Sing Out Loud (2022)

Along with Roadie Music, Nexus Music Blog, Rising Artists Blog, Pop Fad Blog, Music City Pulse, Edgar Allan Poets and Sinusoidal Music, we have been watching singer-songwriter Sano Hill with interest over the past year. Based in Ireland, Hill’s music is inspired by life in its entirety and expresses a passion in his intimate sound. Already a name across the globe, and with a loyal following to boot, Sano Hill is all about connecting with audiences on a deeper level. The latest addition to his critically acclaimed discography is the single ‘Sing Out Loud’.

Following his critically acclaimed single ‘CircleWalk’, ‘Sing Out Loud’ is the fourth single on his upcoming album If Not Now, When?. Noted as potentially the track that addresses the question “if not now, when?”, ‘Sing Out Loud’ touches on human connection (or the lack thereof) in our post-pandemic society. Sano Hill explains that “…this song is about reconnecting with the world and each other and celebrating the joy of living and the potential of every moment to bring insight. The song explores this theme by focusing on a singer-songwriter and his attempt to come to terms with his own fears and insecurities…”

Merging elements of folk and indie-rock in the melody, Sano Hill brings a toe-tapping vibe to listeners but with a darker, more intimate quality in the arrangement. Interestingly enough, the melancholic opening is soon overcome by a more jovial tone tossing you into a happier swirl of sound. An acoustic-inspired track, there is a higher sense of vulnerability – it’s like Hill is laying his soul bare to share his intense message.

While there is an intense intimacy and vulnerability throughout the song, ‘Sing Out Loud’ is jovial and empowering in its melody and lyricism. Hill’s warm vocals embrace listeners making you feel a sense of comfort but also stand up and sing along with the anthemic tune. I cannot wait for Sano Hill’s upcoming album and recommend him to everyone.
