Sabine – Forever and a day (2022)
In 2021, singer-songwriter Sabine captured our ears with her ethereal and elegant sound. From her ‘How Do You Sleep At Night?’ to ‘i didn’t mean to’, we have seen Sabine progress and evolve her intriguing music. The thing is, she has not only turned our heads but also caught the eye (or rather ear) of Neon Music, RGM Magazine, BBC Introducing and iHeart Radio reaching an international audience. Moreover, her performances at festivals and venues like Oxjam, Pub In The Park, and The Camden Chapel sees her growing a loyal following. The latest addition to her repertoire is ‘Forever and a day’.
Following her track ‘I didn’t mean to’, Sabine once again brings a tender, heartfelt charm to our ears in ‘Forever and a day’. Embracing the intimacy of Joni Mitchell with the power of Joan Armatrading, the new track immediately has you tapping your toe and grinning stupidly. As an acoustic-inspired single, Sabine highlights how a simplistic arrangement can be as kaleidoscopic and engaging as the rockiest rock song. The inclusion of piano throughout the melody enhances a tenderness touching your heart with its inspiring tone – at least from my side.
Despite her youth, Sabine seems to capture the sophistication of more established folk singers in ‘Forever and a day’. We hear a maturity in her musicality but there is also a naive innocence throughout. This is rather apt as ‘Forever and a day’ continues her tale of finding lasting love – something many of us wish for with youthful joviality.
Sincere, sentimental and beautifully arranged, Sabine once again captures my heart in her soothing new track ‘Forever and a day’.
