Ryan Caplinger – Falling Into You (2025)

Inspired by life in its entirety, from the simplest everyday situation to great leaps of faith, Ryan Caplinger captures all emotion, thought, influence and experiences in his moving melodies. Inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams, Caplinger aims to “tell a story that makes listeners feel and envision and put themselves there…” – given even the briefest listen to his discography, I believe he achieves this aim. Exploring the joy and power of love, the US-based singer-songwriter releases his new single, ‘Falling Into You’.

Self-composed, recorded and produced, ‘Falling Into You’ is Caplinger’s second single of 2025. Reminding me of artists like Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth, the song is a rush of pure pop from its soulful vocals to the wistful electronic beats.

Soothing and gentle, the melody effortlessly carries you across an ethereal sonic fog sprinkled with kaleidoscopic glitter; however, while the tune has a toe-tapping infectiousness, it feels as though hints of fragility and vulnerability linger in the tune. Interestingly, while the track does not flit toward delicate fragility, the theme of falling in love retains some intimate vulnerability if you really think about it.

“’Falling Into You’ is a story about love. Where two people meet and fall in love, even though one had their doubts, but gave in to their heart and let love win, and there’s nothing like letting go and trusting someone… This song was designed to let people know a real love can and does exist, and this song can connect two lovers, two bodies and intertwine them.” – Ryan Caplinger on ‘Falling Into You’

One of the more intriguing and unique aspects of Caplinger’s single is its entwining of originality and artificial intelligence. Embracing the skills of AI, ‘Falling Into You’ uses technology-generated vocals. Yet, as much as there is AI, Caplinger remains a complete storyteller with 100% original lyrics. Weaving old-school stories and pop-filled tones with AI vocals, ‘Falling Into You’ is more than just a song about people falling in love; it’s about bringing two diverse elements and making them into one – perhaps a falling in love from the AI/original music side?
