Ross The Piano Man – Song Of Your Life (2024)

At the age of 9, singer-songwriter Ross The Piano Man’s father bought him a small keyboard and the magic of music wrapped around him. A form of communication, empowerment and inspiration for the masses, the flame in his soul began burning… and hasn’t stopped. Influenced by the likes of Elton John, Bill Joel and Neil Sedaka, the Welsh artist’s music is filled with flair, elegance and charm all whirled in a unique style. With chart-topping melodies, confident live shows (including performances with Josh Groban and Shirley Bassey), and extensive touring, Ross The Piano Man is quickly inspiring audiences far beyond his UK borders.

In 2008, Ross received his “big break” with the choir Only Men Aloud, but now his solo venture takes his journey on a different route. With a mission to “inspire, entertain and empower…”, he tackles life in its totality with wit, sophistication and ease. In his debut single ‘Song Of Your Life’, the issue of milestone birthdays comes to the fore – in this case, the big 40. Ross The Piano Man explains:

“As I hit 40, I’m taking a moment to reflect and look back but also look forward to what lies ahead… I’m hoping everyone will sing along in the catchy chorus and find the song [‘Song Of Your Life’] of their own life.”

Taken off his upcoming EP, ‘Song Of Your Life’ is produced and recorded by the award-winning duo of Rupert Christie and Simon Johnson – fun fact: both happened to work with the Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones. Not necessarily Tom Jones, but the clarity heard in male choirs breaks through in Ross The Piano Man’s ‘Song Of Your Life’.

Acoustic with light percussion and a piano taking the fore, the melody reminds me of the gorgeous Welsh landscape – haunting and skin-chilling but filled with calming tenderness and that “yep, this is where I belong” sentiment. Lifting your heart and embracing you with genuine warmth, Ross The Piano Man melds heartfelt vocals with a cinematic soundscape bringing relief, joy and harmony in ‘Song Of Your Life’.

In addition to the single, Ross The Piano Man released a lyric video for ‘Song Of Your Life’. This video can be viewed below or on Ross The Piano Man’s YouTube channel.
