RNA – Singatune (2022)
Using the personal experience of quitting his job mid-pandemic, RNA takes us into the bliss of being able to sleep in and the excitement of the journey that lays ahead. The deep and progressive tones of ‘Singatune’ weave a worthwhile adventure of chasing your dreams and feeling the electric joy of having the freedom to do this. Packed with synthwave and cyberpunk sensibilities, this single fuses powerful electronic basslines with epic guitars and the softer touch of dream pop.
Adding almost robotic vocals to the mix, RNA brings a wonderfully unique vibe to the single that perfectly captures the emotions of the tale. While this single taps into the moment RNA decided to focus solely on music, he has been making music and DJing since he was 10. Using the skills he has developed over the years, he is unleashing his musical philosophy on the world, one danceable track at a time.
‘Singatune’ uses a progressive electronic tone to grab your attention and get your feet tapping to the rhythm. The slow build of sound rises from the opening, pulling you into the journey of the track. Through the opening, there is a sense of comfort and happiness that perfectly captures those days when you are able to stay in bed as long as you want to. While this leads to a rising movement of danceable tones, the soft comfort makes a comeback throughout the melody. The rather tender synthwave touches have your muscles relaxing and your spirit covered in a sense of happy softness. There is a hint of dream pop woven into these moments as a slightly ambient wash reaches out through the upper levels of the melody, to draw you to an exciting future.
Woven into the progressive movement of the music is a really captivating rhythm. This rhythm edges into dance and EDM only to retreat back into the comfort of the softer tones. Making their way between the electronic tones are the heavy vocoder vocals that offer an almost robotic vibe to the track. This brings the cyberpunk flair to the track that turns it into something much bigger than what you first imagine. RNA takes you on a fantastic journey through the movement of the single with that rather epic guitar solo topping everything off perfectly. Later in the track, the vocals rise up, leaving colourful wisps of smoke in its wake as you slide into the guitar. This swing in sound offers a new texture to the track that changes the vibe slightly while still keeping you moving to the rhythm.

The music has a wonderful synthwave flow with a sprinkling of danceable beats that get you moving.
