Raging Lines – Let Me Have This Moment (2025)

Born in 2002, singer-songwriter Sondre Thomassen Thorvik is still quite young at 23 years old; however, the sophistication, maturity and profoundness of his music showcase the maturity of established artists twice his age. Performing under the moniker Raging Lines, the Norwegian artist does just that with his musical talent – he creates art. In 2022, he released his well-received debut single ‘Too Dramatic, Too Paralyzed’, followed by the 2024 single ‘You Stay Away’. Today, we sit back with a cup of tea prepared to discover Raging Lines in the single ‘Let Me Have This Moment’; join us, won’t you?

Entering 2025 with flair, ‘Let Me Have This Moment’ is a silvery concoction of several genres including post-punk, new wave and dark pop with avant-garde sensibilities draped across like a soft veil. As with his previous work, Raging Lines continues to lean toward nostalgic post-punk with its dark, desperate, wistful fog of synth-driven music; however, soaring guitars slice through the melody tinging it with some indie-rock sentiments.

Self-composed and produced, the composition is an intricate twirl of poignant depth and raw vulnerability. Confident but naïve, bold but subdued, stark but kaleidoscopic, ‘Let Me Have This Moment’ grabs your heart, turns your head, and leaves you lost in a psychedelic haze… but you love every second.

It’s clear to see ‘Let Me Have This Moment’ is a clever composition with every instrument bound in a rhythmic harmony; but, for me at least, it is the vocals that up the ante. Weaving throughout and binding the melody with a silvery bow, Raging Lines’ rich vocals swagger with dark intent. Rough but smooth, gut-wrenching but soothing, haunting but comfortable, Sondre Thomassen Thorvik navigates a rollercoaster of emotion in four-and-a-half minutes of hypnotic music.
