Paytron Saint – Treeline (2023)

Sending you down a spiral of what the band likes to call “melodic indie grunge”, Paytron Saint is a threesome to ensnare your senses with their moving music. In their live session video for The Other Side Reviews, the UK-based trio prove they can rock with attitude; so, it is no surprise that they are building a following with their energetic, engaging shows. Performing at festivals like YNot and Carry On Campout, plus their upcoming Four Degrees of Chaos tour, Paytron Saint is a band that people adore from the first chord. The latest addition to their discography is the single ‘Treeline’.

Recorded at their studio The Chicken Coop with producers Jim Cork and Joe Caithness, ‘Treeline’ has a leaning toward the sounds of the 90s with hints of Nirvana and Three Days Grace. Yet, while a comparison can be made, a certain underlying originality exists with Paytron Saint creating something that will one day be placed alongside Three Days Grace and Nickelback. At least that’s our prediction for Paytron Saint.

While the pounding drums and driving guitars can toss you into a sonic whirlpool filled with a hazy kaleidoscopic ambience, the lyricism enhances the depth of Paytron Saint. Capturing the heart of people in our uncertain society, ‘Treeline’ looks at the gritty, dissatisfied, bleak area of life.  Yet, while a darker theme floats through the song, it is a hopeful one with bright optimism and empowerment.

“’Treeline’ is a story relevant to us all. Those times we strive to be better: physically, emotionally or mentally. Those times where we year for the greener grass wanting to be somewhere, anywhere more palatable than our own headspace, or even physical location or situation. This uplifting track reminds us that life is unpredictable, we will trip but as well as looking forward we should always check back to see how far we have come.” – Paytron Saint on ‘Treeline’

Bold, bright and filled with upbeat joviality, Paytron Saint show us the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel with ‘Treeline’.
