PAVILION – In Control (2020)
Noted as the “one to watch’ in 2020, PAVILION is a rock duo comprised of childhood friends Stu Berry and Benji Lamb. Founded in Brighton in 2019, the group has received been featured by BBC Introducing and in Spotify’s ‘Hot New Bands” playlist – to name but some coverage. With an arsenal of singles to their name, Lamb and Berry are making waves in the local music scene. The latest addition to their repertoire is ‘In Control’.
Inspired by the eclectic lifestyles in contemporary cities, ‘In Control’ is one of PAVILION’s most ambitious undertakings to date. Not only is it taken from their upcoming EP Self Talk, but it stands alone as a truly original track. Being influenced by a stream of consciousness approach, PAVILION’s music boasts strong emotional engagement with their meaningful lyricism. Using a sense of mindfulness in an unconfined manner, along with some similarities to the iconic band The Doors, Lamb’s soaring vocals make ‘In Control’ a melodic sensation.
