NYRE – Glitter with a Vengeance (2023)

For just under five years, Canadian artist NYRE has been captivating hearts and turning heads in the alternative pop/pop music industry. With brooding melodies and intimate lyricism, her natural storytelling skills resonate with audiences in and beyond her Canadian borders. From Less Than 1000 Followers to Rising Artists Music Blog, York Calling, Peaches ‘n’ Pop, and even having a single featured on Disney+ and Hulu’s series How I Caught My Killer, NYRE is a feisty shining star for all to adore. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Glitter with a Vengeance’.

On the heels of her well-received track ‘Ain’t About U’, NYRE shifts from a hip hop-influenced sound to something far more pop-inspired in ‘Glitter with a Vengeance’. Soothing, smooth and velvety, listening to ‘Glitter with a Vengeance’ is like slipping beneath a luxurious satin sheet and enjoying every skin-tingling second. Sexy, enchanting and decadent, NYRE’s gentle vocals enhance the song’s sensuality; however, there is a stark contrast to this indulgence when we look at the heart-breaking theme.

An entirely Canadian project, ‘Glitter with a Vengeance’ is created, written and produced by NYRE, Dallas Rodin and Created By Atom. Sincere and sentimental, the glittering side of things sends our souls soaring in uplifting positivity. Then again, this is glitter with a vengeance where it uses heartbreak to “shine intensely with even greater force as if the glitter is determined to be noticed and cannot be ignored…it represents an enchantingly powerful and strikingly beautiful force that captives all in its path…”
