NOANNE – Forgiveness (2024)

Powerful pop with a depth of sound you’re likely to find in any classic prog track is the latest offering from Prague native NOANNE. Working with veteran of the industry, Gregory Darling, her new single ‘Forgiveness’ explores the acts of clemency we all need to address at some point in our life.

‘Forgiveness’ is a power ballad for our age, whilst really owning the theatrical sound that all great songs of this ilk are renowned for. With layers and layers of sound, paired with some strong vocals, the single envelopes you and holds you within NOANNE’s idea of forgiveness and explores how it can affect you and where this feeling sits in the modern world. NOANNE explains:

“This song represents a universal experience of confronting and releasing the burdens of the past while speaking to the resilience of the human spirit and the
the transformative power of forgiveness in healing and moving forward.”

Exploring the world of NOANNE it is clear that art is at the forefront of what she is about, which adds to her intrigue. I found her integration of AI into her work to be very interesting, as I think we are just at the tip of the iceberg with artificial intelligence in all aspects of our lives. I think artists such as NOANNE are important when exploring this new world and help push our work further rather than worrying about how it replaces artists.

If ‘Forgiveness’ has wet your appetite to explore world power-pop with NOANNE, be sure to check out her last two singles ‘White Glove’ and ‘Goodwill’ hoping for more to come. But the real question is can NOANNE stand out in the growing number of powerful female vocalists? I honestly don’t know but for now ‘Forgiveness’ does have its place on my Spotify playlist.
