Natasha Ghosh – Hold Me (2021)

There are moments when people fall in love to an extent where they feel completely invincible. These blissful moments have been taken up by Natasha Ghosh through her single ‘Hold Me’. While discovering her love for RnB, she uses a mixture of electric guitars, dreamy vocals and violin lines to bring the emotions of these moments to life.

Written with her girlfriend in mind, the single draws on her own emotions and experience while wrapping you in a relatable blanket. Working with producer Soki, Ghosh unleashes the message that it is important to show people you love what they are worth to you and to focus on the good things. While her musical career started with fingerstyle ukulele, she is focussing more on singing and will get you hooked to her sound.

‘Hold Me’ hits you with a sultry and smooth RnB opening. The light tones gently tap across your shoulders before you sink into the seductive beats. There is a delightful richness to the melody that swirls around you and gets you lost in the soundscape. While the melody has this great smooth flow, there is also a light bounce that makes you want to move to the tones. Later in the single, an electric guitar makes its presence known in a bubbling line that wonderfully merges with the soulful flows of the music.

Ghosh’s vocals enhance the RnB vibe of the music while adding a dreamy soulfulness. Her voice is like satin against your skin and you really want to close your eyes and just let her vocals wash over you. As she inundates your senses, you are filled with an all-consuming feeling of falling in love and bliss. She has you feeling like you can do anything while filling you with the understanding of how much her partner means to her.

Natasha Ghosh has you riding smooth RnB waves while feeling the invincibility of all-encompassing love with ‘Hold Me’. Her satin vocals are all dreamy soul that slices into your brain and fills you with bliss. The melody enhances the soulfulness of the vocals with the richness of the soundscape.
