Natalie Moran – Know Your Soul (2025)

With sharp wit, snappy melodies, and a silky, soulful voice, Natalie Moran can quickly win your heart, and chances are you’ll fall in love instantly. Finding the balance between energetic ferocity and languid feel-good vibes, the Irish pop artist captures the complexity of emotion with elegant finesse. From her 2020 debut single, ‘Not A Usual December Song’, to 2023’s ‘Thunder’, and 2024’s ‘The Weekend’, Moran has shared music with the masses and received international critical acclaim. The latest addition to her discography is the single, ‘Know Your Soul’.

Released on Valentine’s Day – a day focused on love from the “I’m so in love” to “they just broke my heart” – Moran’s ‘Know Your Soul’ captures the excitement and freedom of opening up, welcoming romance, and seeing the sparks fly. Using her rich vocals, she holds your hand and pulls you close as you twirl about in the kaleidoscopic hurricane. For me, it is her vocals that act as an anchor allowing you to fly while keeping a steady hand on the ground.

A dance-ready pop song perfect for your favourite club with its dance vibes, so you can immediately imagine yourself jumping up and down with a blissful grin on your face. Interestingly, while ‘Know Your Soul’ leans strongly toward the electronic pop meets EDM style, Moran slices through the track with an unexpected instrument. Fusing synthetic electronic sounds with an organic fiddle, an off-kilter tinge peeks through the wall of dance-pop. Talking about the arrangement, Moran explains:

“’Know Your Soul’ is a loved project of mine. I wanted to create a song that had a current dance-pop feel and then enhance it with a mix of an instrument (fiddle) so closely tied to Ireland…”

What can I say about ‘Know Your Soul’? After repeatedly hitting the play button, it plasters a silly grin on my face – a refreshing lift after a tiring day. I highly recommend Natalie Moran to anyone searching for a sensational rush of lively music.
