There is a sense of darkness that comes through from the first moment of ‘Morningstar’. The opening line has a slightly lost feeling to it before you are hit with a range of more dance and EDM tones. The pulsing of the electronic tones fills your brain with flashes of light but there is still something dark about it. There is a really good dance flow to the music that makes your muscles want to move while retaining the threads of twilight that are all toxic relationships.

While the melody pulses through your brain, it is the vocals that make the single something truly unique. Mrqs.whly’s vocals are so expressive as you are inundated with the struggle of getting out of a toxic relationship. The echoes and slight haziness that wash over the vocals at times create a feeling of being lost and not knowing which way is forward. This changes on the chorus where the melody picks up and the lyrics acknowledge that you need to get out and fills you with the strength to do this. Combined with the pounding dance beats, the strength to find your way out is thrust into your veins.
