Louisa Maria – Give Me More (2020)

Most well known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of power-rock trio Tequila Mockingbyrd, Louisa Maria is a genre-defying songstress with a lot of attitude. Embracing her commercial pop side, she has honed her unique sound while gathering a loyal following along the way. Having performed with acts like Skindred, Steve Harris and Richie Blackmore – as well as headline tours across Europe – Louisa Maria has received a reputation for engaging, energetic and enthusiastic shows. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Give Me More’.

The follow-up to her well-received singles ‘Bang Bang Drop’ and ‘One Lump of Sugar’ – both of which earned her coverage on RGM and The Other Side Reviews (that’s us!) – ‘Give Me More’ is an upbeat, high-energy and edgy track. Fusing reggae with her commercial pop, Louisa Maria is expanding her style and sound in the new ‘Give Me More’.

The best part of any Louisa Maria’s track is the sensual vibe underlying the instrumentation and distinctive vocals. In ‘Give Me More’ she abandons the “club-hopping” beats to embrace a buoyant single with heavy Latin influences. If this song were a dance, and I believe it an excellent song for a party, it would be the salsa with Ricky Martin!
