Little Archer Worship – Kingdom of Heaven (2024)

Influenced by the likes of Enya and Hans Zimmer, Little Archer Worship’s music is more than some chords, progressions, beautiful instruments and profound lyricism. No, Little Archer Worship is one of those artists who immerse you in their cinematic soundscapes sending chills down your spine, tingles along your skin, a haunting pain in your heart, and tears pricking your eyes. The solo project of acclaimed musician Yvette Charmaine, Little Archer Worship is on a mission to resonate with listeners, connect on a deeper level, and share some fantastic tunes all the while. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Kingdom of Heaven’.

When I hear the title ‘Kingdom of Heaven’, my mind immediately jumps to Ridley Scott’s 2005 film starring Edward Norton and Orlando Bloom, but that’s a little away from Little Archer Worship’s ‘Kingdom of Heaven’. The overall message of humility, loyalty and belief in something bigger than ourselves threads along both; however, as a prominent Christian singer-songwriter, our songstress wishes to share the message of faith and unwavering belief in a greater being with her ‘Kingdom of Heaven’.

Shining the light on one of the most inspirational figures in her life, her mother Rina who unfortunately passed away last year, ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ is an intimate glimpse into Little Archer Worship’s heart. She explains: “It was emotional writing this song and bringing to life something we shared – telling the story of the most powerful message of all – that there is a Kingdom of Heaven… I know we will meet again.”

Following her well-received single ‘Until You Break The Storm’, ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ is Little Archer Worship’s first release in 2024. Joined by musician Christian Hart, she creates a tunnel of hazy, mystical fog leading to a bright light. Interestingly, while the barebones blend of piano and strings is haunting, the rush of drumbeats and vocals brings a moving warmth. A chilly dizziness exists but as we approach the bright light, the fog disassembles so we see each beautiful thread in the complex melody falling away to prepare for something greater.

In addition to the single, Little Archer Worship released an official lyric video for ‘Kingdom of Heaven’. You can view the video below or on her YouTube channel.
