Liqueedo – Out Of Nowhere (2024)

Making music because he loves music, Liqueedo creates melodies filled with “heart, soul and a lot of sacrifice…” To bring people hope, optimism, and a sense of self-love, he wants us to “love yourself and your mistakes…love the simple things and don’t forget who you are” This raw passion for music began for Arturo Molinara (performing as Liqueedo) early in life, then his friend convinced the 14-year-old to start singing in a cover band. Skip ahead some years and Molinara has performed across his native Italy, released internationally acclaimed singles, caught the attention of iconic producers and curators, and now brings us his debut single ‘Out of Nowhere’.

Formed during the pandemic with friends Andrea Bruno, GianMario Galano, and Federico Cozza, Liqueedo reopens his drawer of memories to create original melodies. The band may be a newbie but several years in the music industry gives the lads a “something older and sophisticated but entirely new and fresh” quality. With the debut ‘Out Of Nowhere’, the group lean distinctly toward 80s Britpop ala Oasis but with a certain enigmatic flair that is entirely Liqueedo.

Produced with Maurizio Sarnicola, listening to ‘Out Of Nowhere’ is like stepping into a sonic hurricane walled by kaleidoscopic threads of powerful instruments. Pounding drums crash about with a scorching guitar picking up the lead and a bold bass lingers in the high-powered background. Interestingly, the song has a sophisticated arrangement and production BUT a slathering of innocent gruffness exists as it’s bound by rich vocals.

The melody itself is a great listen but it is the lyricism that captures the poignancy of ‘Out Of Nowhere’. Liqueedo explains:

“’Out Of Nowhere’ is a song inspired by a friend living a moment of discouragement and thought about life… Sifting through the collective distress, scattered with sordidly toxic role models, the track is a call to embrace our eccentricities and cherish our uniqueness preserving the exuberance of youth to counteract the fleetingness of the present…”
