LE JUNK – Level 3 (2020)
Hailing from London, UK, LE JUNK is a multi-instrumentalist fusing elements of indie-rock, pop and a twinge of grunge to form a genre-defying sound. This unique artist released his debut single ‘Rich Romance’ earlier this year receiving critical acclaim from Radio X, Electronic Sound, Wonderland Magazine and Louder Than War. The latest addition to his growing discography is the single ‘Level 3’.
Produced by producer Dan White and released via Naked Superstar Recordings, ‘Level 3’ is a dynamic delving into an infectious and entrancing single. Including elements of the 70s disco era, this single has an upbeat and catchy vibe to it; however, the lyrics make it a little more serious. Touching on issues of false ideology and its negative effects, ‘Level 3’ is LE JUNK’s commentary on contemporary society. Expressed as a metaphorical love song, the track speaks about “levelling up” in relationships and life.
Further bringing this poignant track to life, LE JUNK has released an official music video for ‘Level 3’. Dark and slightly sinister, the “put on your rollerskates and twirl about the rink” vibe is removed and we find only grit. You can view the video here.
