Julie Tuzet – Tarde (2021)

Entering the new year in a bright and cheerful way, Julie Tuzet will have you twirling around with her new single ‘Tarde’. Based in Paris, France, the soulful singer-songwriter showcases innovativeness as she hones her sound with a new RnB-influenced track. Featured by several online radios, Tuzet is slowly building a global following with her intriguing new sound. The latest addition to her critically acclaimed discography is the single ‘Tarde’.

Upbeat, with a sense of buoyancy, Tuzet brings joy into a dismal space with ‘Tarde’. Following on from her debut single ‘Picky’, ‘Tarde’ moves from a dance anthem to something more soulful. I am not by any means saying the new track is lacking toe-tapping qualities, it just seems to showcase greater intimacy and intensity.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the new single is the combination of Spanish and English lyricism. Elegantly executed by Tuzet’s charming vocals, the song seems to capture you in a cascade of infectious melodies with the steadiness of effortless vocals to ensure you don’t drone. Yet, if this is something I would drown to I would definitely die happy. As beautiful as the songstress herself, ‘Tarde’ is a breath of fresh air in an oversaturated pop scene.
