Jane N’ The Jungle – Disco Lemonade (2025)

Raging, roaring, filled with ferocity and bound in curious rock melodies, Jane N’ The Jungle is one of the most exciting bands to hit our virtual desk. With a rambunctious rebelliousness, I doubt you’d forget this US-based duo; however, if a reminder is necessary, here’s a little idea of what Jane N’ The Jungle are about. Already featured a few times in The Other Side Reviews, long-time friends Jordan White (vocals) and Brian Dellis (guitar) delve into life in all its glory and grit with a hard rock attitude; all the time engulfing you in the kaleidoscopic sonic haze. The latest addition to their discography is the single, ‘Disco Lemonade’.

Following the well-received ‘Beauty Queen’ and ‘GTFO’, White and Dellis saunter into 2025 with ‘Disco Lemonade’. Produced by Cameron Mizell, ‘Disco Lemonade’ entwines the grit of grunge with powerful alternative rock, all set in a blast of “hit you in the face” hard rock. A kaleidoscopic concoction of crashing drums, bold bass, and scorching guitar, the track shimmers with vibrant reds, greens and blues, all caught in a dark sonic veil of rock music.

While the melody is intriguing in its crash, bash, and mosh-pit-ready anthemic tone, I find the emotional side of ‘Disco Lemonade’ more appealing. Unlike ‘Beauty Queen’ that induced a mad rush from pillar to post, ‘Disco Lemonade’ offers something weightier like crawling through a swamp with each note clinging to your limbs, dragging you down. Yet, as much as the music engulfs you with palpable tension, there is soothing and calm in its distorted but harmonic few minutes of rock.

For me, it is not the lyricism or instrumentation that makes ‘Disco Lemonade’ stand out. For me, it is White’s vocals that bring a little something-something to the track. Not saying Dellis isn’t holding his own, it’s merely the vocals are intimate, and personal and insert the sophisticated but rugged flair to ‘Disco Lemonade’.
