Jaded Jane – Jasmine Flower (2023)
The brainchild of Swedish musician Axel Olsson, Jaded Jane is a project transcending sound and reaching far into our souls. Known for his honesty, originality, authenticity and innovativeness, Olsson is one of those artists who are unafraid to capture raw emotion in sensational soundscapes. Recorded with renowned sonic architect Åke Linton at Studio Tonkontrol in Gothenburg, ‘Jasmine Flower’ features Adam Olsson on bass, Erik Bodin on drums and, of course, Axel Olsson on vocals and piano. Soft and soothing pop with a hint of heartfelt soul woven into the melody, the piano-driven ballad sends shivers along your skin in its elegant arrangement. Interestingly, while the acoustic-inspired melody captures the optimistic empowerment of finding love, Axel’s vocals bring both vulnerability and poetic joviality to ‘Jasmine Flower’.
