Inochka – Barcelona’s Night (2025)
Soothing, dreamy, ethereal and haunting – all words that could describe singer-songwriter Inochka. While she might bewitch you with her beauty, her music showcases a soul that is anything but superficial. Using her skills as a music teacher and producer, the Estonia-based songstress exudes a kaleidoscopic passion for evocative melodies that send you swirling off in sonic fog. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Barcelona’s Night’.
Following the well-received 2024 singles ‘This Melody’ and ‘Mango-Flavored’, ‘Barcelona’s Night’ is Inochka’s first step into the new year; actually, it’s more of a fairy-like saunter rather than stomping step. Retaining the gentle laidback charm of ‘This Melody’, ‘Barcelona’s Night’ is a slow drift across a glistening sonic lake. I can attest to the immediate relaxation Inochka achieves with this new single – its level of chilled-out tranquillity honestly sets you at ease immediately.
As a simplistic combination of piano and vocals, ‘Barcelona’s Night’ is a barebones dissection of romantic emotions and passionate nights; however, the trumpet offers a silkier, kaleidoscopic flair. Inochka explains:
“…a romantic composition inspired by the unique atmosphere of Barcelona and the enchanting sound of the trumpet… The music reflects the emotions of love and longing, with the trumpet adding a touch of celebration and tenderness. Inspired by the spirit of the city, this song creates an intimate and dreamy mood inviting listeners into a world of romance and passion.”
Melodically, ‘Barcelona’s Night’ quickly calms all nerves and leaves you taking a much-needed sigh of relief. For me, however, it is Inochka’s vocals that capture the laidback harmony. Delicate, fragile and intimate, the hushed tones offer a silvery, fairy-like essence. Yet, despite the fragility, hidden boldness and confidence lingers making the track even more interesting. Combine her delicate voice with her blonde hair, big eyes, and charming smile, and…well, that’s a songstress to ensnare your senses. I cannot wait for more from this highly recommended musician!
