Hyattsvillain – Dr. Colorado (2022)

Hyattsvillain uses a fast and fun punk tone to get you into the story of ‘Dr. Colorado’. Centred on the character Buster Keagan, the single tells how he moved from a street-level weed dealer in Washington D.C. to opening his own dispensary in Colorado. A catchy punk track that you are sure to sing along to, the splash of garage rock takes everything to a new level.

The third single from the band’s first full-length album due out later this year, it is the perfect teaser to get you ready for what else is to come. If the rocking tones of the single on its own is not enough to pull you under their paced spell, the accompanying performance video will.



‘Dr. Colorado’ fills you with punk energy from the first pounding tone. The opening beats lead you to a frantic pounding of tones that shake you up and make you want to jump around like crazy. As you are bouncing off the walls, the punk tones fill your veins with a really fun vibe. There is no way that you can listen to this melody and not feel the urge to jump or bop your head to the sound. At one point, the pace does lighten giving you a moment to catch your breath before you are tossed back into the jumping beats.

While the music has you jumping around and feeling packed with energy, the vocals call out over the melody. There is a slight echo to the performance like the vocals are coming out over a loudspeaker. The punk rock energy packed into each word is enhanced by the pace of the music and delivery. Through all of this, you are treated to the fun tale of Buster Keagan which fills you with the urge to pursue your own dreams. The overall catchiness of the track is unbelievable and you are going to feel the urge to turn the volume up as you listen just so you can shout out the story with the band.

Hyattsvillain has you bouncing around with frenetic energy as you smile and shout out the tale of ‘Dr. Colorado’. The music is packed with energy from start to finish that shakes you up and gets you jumping around. The vocals are super catchy and make you want to yell out with them.
