heavy on the heart. – Smokin’ All The Weed (2024)

Celebrating life in all its glory, from the gritty dark to the animated light, heavy on the heart. pay tribute to humanity in their melodies. It might be a rock-inspired song exploring the dark mire of inner turmoil, or it may be a pop-punk tune touching on empowerment and hope, either way, heavy on the heart. executes it with gusto. Initially devised in 2021 when Nikki Brady (vocals) and Costas Themistocleous (guitar) began collaborating on songs, heavy on the heart. was a powerful force in the making. Joined by Nick Kolokathis (drums) and Andrew Nicolae (bass), the band was formed, and the foursome forged their way in the music scene.

Following their critically acclaimed EP It’s You That Has To Think, featuring the well-received single ‘Catch Me If I Fall’, heavy on the heart. saunter into 2024 with the new single ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’. Recorded and produced at Sound Acres Recording Studio with Gary Cioni, ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’ retains the group’s lilt toward Paramore with Brady’s strong reminiscence to Hayley Williams; however, a heavier infusion of 90s pop-rock slices through the single. A hard-hitting pop-punk tune yet with a bolder brush of Themistocleous’ guitar, Nicolae’s bass, and Kolokathis’ crashing drums tip toward Blink 182 and Weezer.

A fist-pumping burst of energy, ‘Smokin’ All The Weed’ has you jumping up and down with an energy you didn’t know you had leaving you breathless but content. The ferocity of the melody is a soul-lifting one of empowerment, but heavy on the heart. delicately expose human fragility with the roaring tune. heavy on the heart. explain:

“’Smokin’ All The Weed’ is about finally finding the courage to leave that toxic relationship. It’s about finding the humour and bright side of negative situations and using whatever floats your boat to calm your nerves and anxiety.”
