Bringing an anthemic fusion of indie folk and indie rock, HARGO captivates listeners with the sophisticated flows of ‘From the Rooftops’. Pushing the boundaries of his sound, he brings a ground-breaking mentality to his music which flows through you, leaving a warm glittering trail in its wake. Picking the best aspects of rock, pop and folk, the single is a catchy fusion of elements that offers an insight into the unique musicality of HARGO.

While perhaps better known for his ambient and electronic music, both solo and as a part of FEATHERandDOT, HARGO is branching out into a new series of stories. Drawing on his own diverse background, he sprinkles familiar tones into a melting pot of sound to create something that is wonderfully unique. Mind-expanding and soul-centering, his music will soothe the rough edges of your soul, while ensuring you have fun listening.

‘From the Rooftops’ opens with a snippet of speech that draws you into consideration of life and the planet. As this snippet comes to an end, HARGO’s vocals slowly rise from the depths of the soundscape. There is a feeling of uncertainty in his performance that coincides with the uncertainty of the world at the moment. This feeling drops for something more solid as he latches onto the power of love. There is a very new world feeling to his performance that dances like the flickering embers that spark out of a fire. His performance rises on warm air currents and dances across your senses with a really soothing vibe. While he taps into a number of universal concerns, he offers something to soothe the worry in your chest. When he does this, he draws you close, before making you want to move with a freeing energy. His performance has a calling edge to it like he is shouting out into the ether while shining the light of his message into the darkest recesses of the world.

Beneath his performance is a rather eclectic melody that moves from some traditional folk tones to a world music movement. This is held together in the lower levels by a rock-pop shuffle. There is a lot going on in the melody, but it all comes together for an infectiously upbeat movement. The opening of the track has a blossoming touch to it, like you are stepping out of a stuffy room into a crisp and clear day. This swings into the dancing shuffle movement with the whoop of the vocals. The melody doesn’t let you go for the rest of the track as it keeps pumping the energy of the single into your veins.

HARGO soothes the rough edges of your soul, while filling your veins with a freeing energy as you move to the fusion tones of ‘From the Rooftops’. There is a wonderful thoughtfulness in this track as it touches on serious issues only to ease our worries with the power of love. The music swirls through your soul as you move to the rhythm of the vocals and slowly feel the stress of the day seep out of your muscles.
