Grand Alpaca – Feel So Good (2021)

Described by Ear To The Ground as “an Americana sound that is truly unlike anything else in the genre right now…”, Grand Alpaca sets himself out from the crowd. It is not only Ear To The Ground singing his praises, his heartfelt music has Roadie Music, Solid Music Sound, Independent Music, Pop Muzik, iHeart Radio and Last.fm (to name a few) turning their heads. We introduce you to this Norwegian singer-songwriter his the single ‘Feel So Good’.

From the outermost west coast of Norway, Grand Alpaca’s barebones music is a sonic representation of those languid, soothing sunsets in a “fisherman village”. Taken from his upcoming debut record, ‘Feel So Good’ transports you to the fisherman village from the first chord. Penned on a beach in France, Grand Alpaca captures the atmosphere of those lazy nights peering over the ocean. Upbeat with dynamic guitars and drums, ‘Feel So Good’ has a harmonic arrangement making the melody buoyant but also smooth.

Touching on elements of love, or rather that giggly longing to spend all your time with your crush, ‘Feel So Good’ incorporates “warm fuzzies” with sophisticated lyricism. While I noted that Grand Alpaca’s music represents soothing sunsets in Norway, this single is far more warm California-esque with its pop/folk-rock sentiments

Recorded with indie producers Kenneth Ishak and Oli Morgan, Grand Alpaca’s music is sure to be pristine. Sublime with a toe-tapping kick, ‘Feel So Good’ is an anthemic song for the summer. I know it’s a bad pun but ‘Feel So Good’ makes listeners feel so good.
