Gordan Taggart – Footsteps (2021)
Gordon Taggart is an indie-rock artist and he’s back with his single ‘Footsteps’. “It’s the optimistic glass half full anthem that we all could use right now” – a quote taken from his press release. He had huge success with his debut single ‘Be The Ones’ and this single could definitely follow in its footsteps.
The track kicks in with a drumbeat followed by gentle guitar riffs, his vocals start soon after and are very soothing. He sings about not giving up hope, he says “don’t let things get in your way and don’t give up till you get to the top, believe in yourself”. It’s a very uplifting song that makes you feel like you want to pull yourself together and lift yourself up. The bass line is great, the drums are very captivating and the guitar riffs are very catchy and the lyrics are so interesting and inspiring. It’s definitely a feel-good summer song.
