Gianfranco GFN – My Sunday Morning (2025)
Weaving different flavours of jazz, blues, funk and rock, singer-songwriter Gianfranco GFN leads you into the “…trendy Giazz musical world…”. Brimming with elegance and sophistication, nostalgic retro meets refreshing modern-day styles, so you feel comfortable but also on the brink of something new. We entered the “Giazz musical world” last year discovering his singles, ‘Sing The Song’ and ‘In My Dreams’, and he continues to astound us with each melody we hear. Drawing together the talents of Gianfranco GFN (guitar), David Caraccio (bass and keyboard), Nicolas Pittet (drums), Vladimir Carbone (vocals) and Evgenia Vieira (backing vocals), we are transported to another world with the single, ‘My Sunday Morning’.
Following the critically acclaimed 2024 tunes ‘Me After You’ and ‘When You Have Gone’, ‘My Sunday Morning’ is a soothing fusion of 70s jazz and soul. From the outset, my mind jumped back to the sounds of the iconic jazz guitarist, George Benson. Soulful, slinky and somewhat sensual, soaring guitars weave with a dynamic bass in ‘My Sunday Morning’. Pulsating drums flit from smooth and steady to crashing sounds, while the keyboard glimmers in the background. Melodically, ‘My Sunday Morning’ is a rollercoaster ride of groovy vibes, warm tones, and smile-inducing joy.
For me, ‘My Sunday Morning’ is a comfortable hug from a good friend while enjoying a cup of tea and chocolate cookies, and the lyricism is as moving. Gianfranco GFN explains:
“This song radiates a positive energy, evoking those perfect Sunday mornings where laughter, music, and hope blend harmoniously… ‘My Sunday Morning’ celebrates shared joy and rebirth. Far from solitude, this track invites everyone to unite in a musical communion that brings together neighbours, friends, and souls in search of happiness.”
In addition to the single, Gianfranco GFN released an official music video for ‘My Sunday Morning’. You can view the video below and/or on his YouTube channel.
