Feye – Maybe Tomorrow (2024)

Helen of Troy had a face to launch 1,000 ships; singer-songwriter Feye is right up there with Helen winning 1,000 hearts with her smile. Soft, gentle and charming, you know she’ll be your best friend, confidante, and the bright light at the end of a long day… and we haven’t even started speaking about her music. Weaving a shimmering tapestry of folk and pop, her moving compositions elegantly express originality, authenticity, raw honesty and introspective reflection.

This is our introduction to Germany-based musician Feye, but she is already making waves internationally collaborating with seasoned songwriters such as Paul Stratham, Robert Goodwin and George Meek, reaching the finals of the International Songwriting Competition in the ‘Pop/Top 40’ genre, releasing critically acclaimed EPs, and airtime on various global radio stations. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Maybe Tomorrow’.

Taken off her upcoming EP, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ sees Feye shift from upbeat pop tracks to calm, soft, gentle tones. Considered the eye of the proverbial storm, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ sits as the fourth track on the new EP – a lull from the first three up-tempo tunes and final rush of kaleidoscopic sound. Interestingly, while one might argue that ‘Back To You’ is as soft as ‘Maybe Tomorrow’, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ retains the whispering folk-pop ballad taking you on a glistening river of smooth music.

Acoustic-inspired, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ is a concoction of piano, guitars, and an edgy trip beat in the background. Harmonically interwoven as a shimmering tapestry, each element brings its shining thread to the multi-coloured composition; however, it is Feye’s vocals that, at least for me, bind the single with a silvery ribbon. Sweet and smooth, her remarkable voice is both wistful and confident. Known for her passionate and profound storytelling, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ encapsulates the joviality of new love and the haunting vulnerability of hidden yearning, fear and fragility.

“’Maybe Tomorrow’ is a ballad that captures love, longing, and unspoken emotions… This ballad fits perfectly where listeners seek deeply emotional music…” – Feye on ‘Maybe Tomorrow’
