feeble – I Am Here (2022)
Unrequited love is something that a lot of people have had to deal with and the journey to gain the attention of the person you love can lead to you being last in line. This is something that feeble look at in their indie-pop single ‘I Am Here’. Through the track, they consider giving the person you care about space only to realise that this only works if the person already likes you back.
This look at unrequited love comes from Stefan Ekenberg, the sole man behind the music. Over the years, he has played in several bands before starting this musical project primarily as a trip-hop venture. After years of disappearing from the music scene as feeble, he is back with a newly evolved sound that brings modern touches to familiar influences.
The opening of ‘I Am Here’ has a dreamy touch that leads you into lo-fi vibes. The wavering melodic tones ripple like water with a pastel wash over them. It is a very soft melody that has you relaxing back into the waters of the flow and floating wherever it leads.
