Cemented in our minds as an indie-folk meets indie-pop artist, Emma Miller brings another softer folk charm to audiences in ‘Meet Me On The Lake’. While there is sophistication and elegance to the melodic arrangement, a sense of innocent wistfulness is woven into the sonic tapestry. With the interplay of guitars and synths, the cinematic haziness shifts you back and forth floating along a harmonic foundation.
Simplistic with its haunting instrumentation, ‘Meet Me On The Lake’ can be described as minimalist; however, it is also kaleidoscopic tossing you into a swirl of sound. Powerful and dynamic, but with a whimsical anthemic nature, Emma Miller shows how the light-hearted, laidback melody can be as hard-hitting as any rock song.
