Drox – Muévete (2021)

Describing himself as “reggaeton”, Drox effortlessly merges the sounds of Daddy Yankee, Black Eyed Peas and Enrique Iglesias. Toe-tapping and highly infectious, Drox may be a newbie on the music scene but he is making waves across cyberspace. Featured on Digital TV, Radio Nacional and several other radio stations, the Colombia-based artist is slowly building a following. Following his well-received single ‘Sigue Tu Camino’, we have his latest track ‘Muévete’.

Recorded with producer Camilo Mora at Digital Records, ‘Muévete’ is an upbeat track to have you dancing on the tables immediately. Inspired by a “sexy night in the disco when he met a very hot girl”, the single is a sonic representation of carnal lust. Laden with synths, the track has an electropop sound; however, the Latin-influenced beats add robustness to the buoyant single.

Honestly, I have no idea what Drox is saying considering the track is in Spanish but I know it’s exciting. Filled with catchy choruses and a beguiling melody, ‘Muévete’ is a seductive song pulling you into a carefree soundscape. While the track does have a whimsical quality, it is anything but innocent. The vocals are husky and rough with a sensual slick underlying the very “danceable” tune.
