Deaf Surf – Sofa (2020)
Deaf Surf is a punk rock band from Brighton. They formed in March 2019 and released their debut single ‘Sofa’ in February 2020 via Slingshot Records.
‘Sofa’ kicks off with amazing guitar riffs, then the symbols of the drums chime in and the beat kicks in. The vocals start and are great! Vocalist Manon sings about someone who she feels has been having fun without her. She sings about someone who has travelled without her and the person has moved on from her. This person seems to be a past lover of hers and the lyrics show that this is upsetting. Chloe’s bass line is nice and strong.
The track is a great punk sounding banger. It’s out now and available on all streaming services.
